The story is set on Earth in the year 2222, a time when mechas have become humanity’s primary defense against mutated creatures. The planet is divided into Safe Zones, where humans live, and Hazard Zones, teeming with these monstrous beings. At the heart of the story is Yao Guang Academy, one of Asia’s seven premier military academies, named after the constellation of the Big Dipper. The academy bears the critical responsibility of training elite mecha pilots and mechanics. Beyond Earth’s local powers, the narrative also introduces the “Five Great Families,” including the Xiao clan of Flame City, the Chai clan of Iron Fist, and the Wu clan of Silver Moon, each possessing deep-rooted legacies and powerful supernatural bloodlines.
