Burak Dönerkan was born on August 30, 1984, in Istanbul. He joined Aydın Doğan Anadolu Communication Vocational High School to step into the world of media and communication. During his internship at the popular 90s music magazine Blue Jean, he wrote articles about music. The experience he gained here revealed his interest in writing at a young age. He pursued this passion further by studying Radio, Television, and Cinema at Trakya University, where he won the "Best Screenplay" award with his short film "Three Elements." However, Burak’s career took an unexpected turn, and after graduation, he entered the aviation industry. From 2005 to 2011, he began his career as a ground services and operations officer and quickly rose through the ranks to become Station Chief at EgyptAir. After leaving his aviation career, he graduated from Anadolu University Faculty of Business Administration and subsequently gained experience in various sectors. During this period, his travels and diverse work experiences fueled his desire to create new stories. Burak reconnected with his passion for writing and wrote his first book, "Angels' Favorite Dream." This book offers readers a story enriched with the emotional depth and observations he accumulated throughout his life, filled with love and adventure. Currently, Burak lives in Manila, the capital of the Philippines, with his wife Neriza and their one-year-old son Mattias, and he continues his writing journey. The three-part series that began with "Angels' Favorite Dream" will continue with "Lips of a Liar."
