Having to abandon his hoard due to ruthless attacks by humans that misunderstand him, a dragon happens across a human village attacked by a ruthless band of murauders. Amid that chaos and destruction he finds a hoard like none other.

Found in the woods when she was just a babe, Yuka grows up an outcast of her new found tribe and family. She's given the opportunity to prove herself and takes it with encouragement from the man she knows as her father. A series of unfortunate events make that chance slip out of her hands and causes her to lose it all. Refusing to give in, she scrapes herself up from the ground and works to make her father proud and to make her clan see that she is worthy to be recognized as one of them. But not everything goes as planned, because the home she knows nothing of pops up from the past and she must come to terms with who she really is before everything she has left is destroyed as well.
