The story follows Diran and his companions as they protect Luciana, a demi-god and the last of the first ones, from various threats. Diran, along with elemental mages, battles shadow crawlers and other minions loyal to Eldulriel, the last of the fallen. The mages are killed, but Diran escapes with Philey, a shape-shifter, and Lufidan. They reach a portal opened by Luciana, who is revealed to be a key figure. Eldulriel, enraged by their escape, sends werewolves after them. The group encounters sirens and a nymph, showcasing Lufidan's romantic entanglements. They eventually arrive at a temple, where Luciana's purpose is revealed. A prophecy explains the history of the fallen ones and the gods' sacrifice to create a sword that could destroy or balance the realms. Eldulriel seeks to reunite with this sword. Luciana and a Ratana named Luideen amplify the goddess's power, revealing that Diran's journey is just beginning, and he must find and protect the sword
