Viola is a University Lever. She qualified as a Lawyer, but noone takes her seriously because she looks too young to be a lawyer. The companies feel that clients will not take her seriously. She decided to take a medial job after reading an adversment. There is a surprise awaiting her as her new employer is a fabulous competitive dancer which she finds out when she goes for an interview. He is delighted when she reveals that she is also an excellent ballroom dancer. But now he needs someone in his accountants office desperately and because he does not want to lose her as a brilliant dancer he employs her. She is confronted by his middle aged secretary who is incredibly jealous and makes her life difficult. Julian is aware of this and makes an agreement with Viola. She workd late to cstch up with her work and meets a beggar, George, who is a delighful person, a tall muscular person. Later he confides in her and tells her that the grime and dirt on his face and hands are merely stage make up. The story circles around Julian, his secretary, his partner Anton and George in the background. It is a pull and give story between these people.

Louella, a University student goes to visit family on a wine farm in the Cape (South Africa). She tries to fix a hook to a curtain rail, falls and knocks her head on a chest. She is thrown back into the 18th Century, with her family in the same mansion, on a wine estate, but some names change. The rogue of the family, Justin, tries to molest her while she is bathing, but he is no match for her. Through the story she meets James, the rightful owner of the estate and they fall in love. She does not see much of him because he has to obtain documents from Cape Town proving that he is the rightful owner of the estate. His cousin Justin, has thwarted all his efforts so far. He now tries to overpower Louella in every evil way possible while James is away. She sees how he handles the horses in an abonamible way. She protects a horse that Justin wants to shoot, and the stable hands realise that she is an incredible woman. She meets and befriends George who is a famly friend but learns later that he is ambivalent when it comes to James and Justin. He uses them to his own ends. Louella thinks she has lost James when she returns back to the 21st Century. However, she is in for a surprise at the end.
