Saved By A Stranger's LipsUpdated at Aug 18, 2026, 14:36
Madeline gave her husband everything. Her love, her loyalty, her name. But he gave her a glass table and a lie about how she died.
The woman who held her while she cried, who promised to call the police if Dwayne ever laid a hand on her, who kissed her cheek and called her the only family that ever felt real, was the same woman bent over his desk an hour later. Dera never had to raise her voice or grab a fistful of hair to destroy Madeline. She just had to smile.
When Madeline opens her eyes again, she is standing in the same reception area, holding the same food container, five years in the past. Her husband has not betrayed her yet. Dera has not smiled at her with knives behind her teeth yet. And Madeline has not yet learned that dying once was the only warning she would ever get.
This time, she is not walking back into that marriage.
She runs straight into the arms of a stranger and kisses him in front of the man who killed her, and in that one desperate second, everything changes. What she does not know is that the stranger already knows exactly who she is, who she was, and exactly how she died. Because he died too.
Now Madeline has five years to destroy the two people who took her life, and figure out if the man who has been quietly saving her all along is the one person worth trusting with her second chance.
