Niindanis (nin dah nis) is a young headstrong Ojibway woman that's living with her grandparents Eva and Sonny in their northern Cree reservation in Manitoba ,Canada. She started living with her grandparents when she was ten, following the death of her parents. She always been proud of her grandparents, they not only taught her to be kind and independent but they were always teaching her about her people and the traditions that were almost lost during the residential school days and the 60's scoop. You see her grandparents are knowledge keepers. That means that they travel a lot to different reserves to do teaching about the old ways of their people. Her grandparents are extremely well respected elders of their tribe and to their communities all over Canada. They are generous and kind. That's that main reason why Niindansis is working two jobs is to pay for a new jeep for her grandparents. Most of the time when their out traveling they end up doing pay cuts. Understanding their motive but not understanding why their poor jeep is getting neglected in the process. By day Donnie is at the local diner called Stacies and by night at the bar in town called Pinkys. While working at stacies she meets a devilishly charming yet secretive stranger named Hunter. She cant help but feel drawn to him, yet she can't figure out if thats a good thing or bad. Will she move past that feeling for forboting and throw caution to the wind and get to know him. With the problems of her love life overwhelming her how will she handle the family secret her grandfather throws upon her after hearing the news of people disappearing around the area. Will she be able to accept him or will her family secret have him rejecting her.
