I’m Alexandra (my friends call me Alex but I wish they didn’t) I live in a small town surrounded by hills in the north of England, and I have a degree in psychology I never use. I have always loved reading anything fantasy related, it’s a nice break from my life, and I love to play around with the themes that are so prominent in literature, I don’t like to follow the expected trend in my writing, if it’s a love story, love won’t conquer all, if it’s a story about a fantastical creature, maybe they won’t overcome their nature after all, I like to play around with what makes a good story because all too often the guy gets the girl and it’s getting old. I’m a perfectionist by nature and I’m always looking to improve so I’d love to hear any suggestions ☺️

Cassiopeia (or Cassie to everyone outside of her family) owns and runs 'The Void' a kitschy coffee shop known for its eclectically matched furniture, insanely good bakery section, and the uncanny way people lose time when they are in there- thanks in no small part to the fact the inside of her shop is hidden in a little pocket just outside of the dimension; childs-play magic really. Being fae Cassie needs promises to sustain her powers, her kind are usually in positions of power, doctors, lawyers, politicians, sure fire ways to obtain life debts that can be cashed in at any time to extend their own existence. Cassie isn't a fan of taking a life, or ruining one for that matter, so she uses the promises of her customers returning to boost her business and keep herself going and for the most part her life is easy. Until of course she comes across Brennan getting mugged, intervenes, and he says five little words that mess with all her plans; I Owe You My Life. Cassie and Brennan have to remove the debt he owes, before Cassie accidentally cashes it in and kills him. Her family won't help her escape the fates, and Brennan barely even believes she's not human, so where does she begin? Is it even possible to remove a debt freely given? Will they both get out of this alive?
