If someone had told Amy Young one week ago that she would be getting married to a Duke she would have laughed in their face, but here she was, reincarnated into the body of a new bride. Most people were reincarnated into the beautiful heroine, protagonist and love interest of the story, but not Amy. No, she had been transmigrated into the role of the villainess and was now standing beside the beautiful man who, if the story continued on its regular course, was destined to end her life.
Thane is an alpha werewolf who rules over an extremely large territory. So large that he allows partial sovereignty to several smaller packs under his domain. These packs self-govern with their own alphas, but we allegiance to Thane and must adhere to his rules:
1. Protect the pack.
2. No illegal activities.
3. All pack members are to be treated with respect regardless of rank.
Most of the smaller packs under Thane are willing to bow to his authority in order to have his protection. Adhering to his rule and the random, mandatory inspections that come with them. All except one; Hellfire.
Hellfire is a small pack, with barely thirty members. They were absorbed after an incident that almost exposed them to mortals, one which Thane was obliged to clean up. Their alpha, Lennon constantly chafes under Thane's authority. Doing everything he can to skirt the rules and causing Thane no end of headaches. Thane would simply dissolve them, but he can't. The implications to the other packs would be dire and he might spark an internal war.
However, because of the trouble they cause, Thane leads the inspections on Hellfire Pack personally.
Only, when Thane goes on a routine inspection of the territory of the troublesome Hellfire Pack what he finds there is far darker than anything he had been prepared for...
