Elena Whitmore, a painter, has been married to Julian Ashford for eight years and fully supported his career until he is about to become CEO. The night before his promotion, Elena catches Julian in bed with Camille, her own sister, who turns out to be pregnant. Elena leaves that same night and goes to Maxwell William, the owner of a rival company who has long wanted to take over Julian's family business because of an old grudge.
