Four college students who don't know each other end up being sentenced to community service on campus after various academic incidents. They're assigned to clean an old archive room that's slated for demolition. There, they find an old notebook, unsigned, with a note on the first page: "If you're reading this, you still have time to avoid becoming someone who's given up." Inside is a list titled: "Things I Promised to Do Before It Was Too Late." But the strange thing is that each goal seems written for one of them, as if someone knew exactly which dream each of them abandoned. At the bottom of the last page is a sentence: "Meet here every Friday. Accomplish one goal per week. When you're done, you'll understand why this notebook came to you." No one fully believes in "coincidence"... but they're all too broken to ignore it. And so, The Lost Days Club is born.

Isabella Moretti has spent her life being careful—careful with money, careful with expectations, careful with love. Growing up watching her mother juggle debts and disappointment taught her that romance is a luxury, but security is survival. So when Alexander Laurent—wealthy, composed, and deeply respectable—asks her to marry him, Bella says yes, even if her heart answers more quietly than she does. Alex offers a life of certainty: penthouses, travel, stability, and a future free from fear. He is kind, in his way. Reliable. Admirable. Everything her mother ever dreamed of for her. Bella convinces herself that love can grow from gratitude, from partnership, from shared goals. Two weeks before the wedding, Bella’s friends drag her to a coastal city for a bachelorette weekend. For once, she lets go—of schedules, of expectations, of the careful version of herself. One night blurs into music, laughter, and too many drinks. She meets a stranger with paint on his hands and mischief in his smile. He doesn’t ask about her life plans. He doesn’t look at her like an investment or a promise. He looks at her like a moment. They spend the night together. Bella wakes with fragments of memory and a pulse of guilt she buries under wedding plans and denial. It was a mistake. A secret. A single reckless night that will fade. Until she arrives at the private island resort where the Laurent wedding will take place—and comes face to face with the stranger. Julian Laurent. Alex’s younger brother.
