ABOUTquote
I\'m Charyse Allan. I\'m an avid reader and have been one since my mom bought me Promises to Keep in elementary school. I realized my passion for writing when I was in high school and was published in the Creative Communications Young Poets Contest; however, it wasn’t until a couple years into my marriage that I tried my hand at writing a novel. I published my first novel in 2014 and have published five others since, including a publication through Hot Tree Publishing of my novel Kate. I have my Bachelor\'s in Professional writing and am working toward my Master\'s in English through GCU. My short story Mystical Intercession was published in GCU\'s Literary Review, Startlebloom, in 2020. Now married to my best friend/high school sweetheart, we live in Utah raising our four kiddos, two Goldens and one half-moon conure. I enjoy baking, am bookaholic, chocoholic and yogi.

Mia's picture-perfect family was the best cover for being a newbie drug dealer... until she decided to quit dealing. Mia didn’t realize what she was getting into with that first drug deal. The adrenaline rush, the risk of getting caught, made it all the more appealing. When she realizes what she’s done, how badly she screwed up this time, she wants to run away from the problems she caused. She attempts to disentangle herself from the operation, but the supplier has other plans for Mia and shows her just how stuck she is. Desperate for a way out, Mia forms an unlikely friendship with her brother’s best friend—who happens to be the sexy investigating detective of the very operation she’s caught up in. Grasping this friendship with everything she has, she fights to escape her situation. When the threats hit too close to home, she isn’t sure she'll be able to escape the grave she's dug herself.
