This is a story about a young girl, facing the highs and lows of being a teenager. She has to deal wth real friends, fake friends, boys, family issues, and everything else that headed toward her.

Harlyn Shy is a 12 year old girl. She is known around school for being the little sister of her schools most popular student. But when Harlyn gets in an accident, her attention at school rises. After the accident, that involves dangerous chemicals, Harlyn is left with no sight. Harlyn tries to get on with life being blind, but, being blind in Highschool is no treat.

Maia Lakes is a twelve year old girl. Her mother left when she was young, and her father doesn't care for her. She doesn't care for him either. That is until he suddenly dies in a car accident, leaving Maia in a foster home. Maia hates her new family and wishes she was anywhere else. But no matter how hard Maia pushed them away, they always loved her. And now Maia is learning to love them back.
