I'm running through some trees, the smell of the morning dew brings peace to my mind, something is chasing me, I don't know what, all I know is I have to run faster. The sun is rising in the East, just over the tree line, if I wasn't running I would take a moment to look; the red and gold painted across the sky. I almost want to pause and paint. But I keep running. A twig snaps on my left and I resume my run, towards the town. Behind me, I see a shadow, just where I was, 30 seconds ago, I can't quite make out what it is, but for some reason I feel at peace. Like im safe, something i'm not quite so used to feeling, I continue on my path, walking now, I have a feeling the shadow will catch up. Heading towards the pond now, instead of town. Just as I reach the water, I sense something behind me, but i'm not scared. In the reflection of the pond I see myself. A white snout, a glistening nose, a wolf reflection and I freeze. The shadow behind me nudges me and sparks erupt from the contact. It's a huge wolf, towering over me. A male. I still feel safe, relaxed. For some reason I feel like I already know the wolf, like I know him. I just can't place it.
