Alexandria, 48 B.C. The Scribe of the Nile A Story of Love & Treachery in the Age of Cleopatra
Updated at May 24, 2026, 00:25
The Scribe of the Nile, set in Alexandria during the reign of Cleopatra. It follows Kha, a royal scribe with ink-stained fingers and a love of star charts, and Nefertari, a handmaid sharp enough to read secrets between the lines of a Roman treaty. What begins as stolen library meetings by The story weaves together romance, political intrigue, and a quiet kind of heroism that history tends to forget. Let me know if you'd like a different setting, a longer story, or a new adventure altogether!

in Venice, presents the map to the Doge, and is offered something she never expected not just protection for the map, but a grand commission to create an entirely new, unified map of the known world. The story closes with her beginning that work, the Black Sea waiting ahead. It's essentially a story about a young woman finding her own voice, separate from her master's shadow, at the exact moment the medieval world was beginning to open up into something new.
