Jean was an average girl of 17 years of age. She spent most of her life in the American Unit 73A, one of many farming communities that provided the other units of the world with crops of wheat, corn, sugar cane, and cotton. Every unit had a purpose to survive the devastation that WW3 had caused humanity back in 2029 when the world still lived above ground and the people were free to be anything lawyers, doctors, and writers. Not anymore.
