Anyon Mattick has been a member of the Kofflandian rebellion since he was barely eight summers old. When his position is overrun during a major encounter with the Etranian Royal Army he's captured and brought before the king to be publicly executed. When the king unexpectedly dies, Anyon is promptly forgotten and left to rot in the castle's cells. The new king is willing to offer a pardon and clemency, but it comes with a price that will test everything Anyon was lead to believe.
