A young teenage highschool boy, Shinjiro Suzuki who is nerdy in look and nature accidently travels to a very strange and beautiful fantasy world filled with monsters, magic and more or less worse unreal things. It all started with him picking up a strange book from a library and complete reading it. Next thing he realizes is that his world has been switched, where he is chosen by an unknown entity as replacement for a fallen hero who was supposed to be fighting the soon to be awakened Demon King. At first Shin struggles very hard with the new life in the new world at his hand being rejected, looked down and deemed weak.
