FATAL CONTRACTUpdated at Oct 30, 2026, 10:17
Ava Su never asked to marry the man who destroyed her family.
When her father's empire collapsed, the price of survival was a signature: Ava Locke, wife of Lucian Locke — the cold-eyed boss who now owns everything the Su Syndicate lost. To the world, it's a merger of power. To Ava, it's a cage with velvet walls.
But the marriage was never what it seemed.
A sealed note in her father's hand reads only: "Signed for silence. Don't move. Wait for me." A photograph shows the front of one word before it runs into the fold — INVESTIGA—. And on her third night in the Locke estate, a wooden box arrives containing a hand, severed clean at the wrist, marked with the same flat break as the attacker she cut the night before.
Lucian says she is his wife. He says he will protect her. He says nothing about the men who are watching, or why her father trusted him with a secret he never told her.
Some contracts are written in blood. And Ava is beginning to suspect she was the clause someone forgot to read.
