Years ago when the kingdom of Jinx was over taken by the violent Lycian rebels, the queen handed her child over to Theodore and told them to run. Theodore was the bodyguard of the queen, he had sworn to protect her with his life, he had no idea how to raise a child. He escaped the kingdom, only to see the queen being dragged off by two Lycian’s.He left great dishonour as he fled with the child. But the queen had left him no choice. Once far enough away from the castle he changed there clothes, covered their trail and being a journey to find a safe place far away to raise Princess Adelaide. Thousands of miles east of Jinx, Theodore came across and abandoned cottage deep in the forest of Nuke. The roof was falling in, on one corner, but the structure seemed stable. The roof he could easily fix. Changing diapers and finding formula was going to be the tricky part. There was a small human village not far, Theodore didn’t smell any werewolves or Lycian’s as he came into the town. Once he had gotten supplies for the child and himself, using what little gold he had on him. He settled them in for the night. As Adelaide lay sleeping, he cursed as he had no business raising a child, he was a trained killer sworn to protect the queen and her family. He had failed.
