In the small town of Clubar, a teacher tangles with a vampire. Anthea is a PE teacher and the coach of the Clubar Primary baseball team. On her way home one night she encounters a woman faster than any human she's ever seen and apparently invincible. Sam jumps in front of a bullet to save a woman walking home alone. She regrets her decision only because now the woman plagues her dreams and seems to pop up everywhere Sam goes. When Sam's past comes to the small town she started calling home, Anthea becomes the proverbial rock and hard place for Sam. She can choose to save the woman, and answer her questions, or she could choose to let her die. Both decisions could mean Sam's demise. What will the lone vampire choose? Love or eternal loneliness?
