The Story is about two Characters Jack Spade and James Harper. James is a private Investigator living in 1980's Los Angeles California. He is not a very good detective. But when ever he falls asleep he dreams that he is Jack Spade a private eye living in 1946 San Francisco. And unlike James jack is very good at his job. Right now he and his partner Joe Sawyer are working on a missing persons case, a young socialite named Lauren Jefferson has been reported missing by her controlling Husband. The reader jumps back and forth in times following theses two advwntures.
