Tame the DragonUpdated at Feb 15, 2025, 00:56
To conquer the beast, she must first tame her heart.
The stories—those whispers of a beast capable of transforming a kingdom to ash with a single breath—never appealed to me. But now I realize how stupid I was, and every breath I took was filled with anxiety.
The dragon does indeed exist. And I am his mesmerizer.
If my people are to be saved, I must tame him. Nevertheless, our lives blur the lines between master and servant. He is more than just a monster. He is a man twisted by pain and retaliation, bound by an ancient curse. The closer I get, the more I realize that I could lose my soul if I tame him.
However, a more powerful force is at play—an ancient foe who is more motivated by power than the dragon's rage. Additionally, the prophecy only foretells death and destruction for anyone who dares to question it.
If we are to avoid the impending storm, I must have faith in the dragon, the creature I fear the most. But how can I trust someone whose heart is as shattered as mine?
