Allison, a 19-year-old American girl, arrives in Lorient for undergraduate studies in Ancient History. She becomes a topic of attention; as only known or prestigious families enroll in the school. Her arrival is surrounded by mystery. She meets Maille who is in her second year. She knew Maille from her younger days when Maille had been a transfer student to Allison\'s middle school in America. Allison attempts and fails to renew the relationship, as Maille believes she has outgrown Allison. Allison also meets Zack, a 22-year-old, entering his third and final year at Lorient. His family is one of the wealthiest on the campus. He is also the Captain of the college\\\'s Lawn tennis team and the most popular guy in school. Allison and Zack have their first confrontation, which does not go well, and both decide that they do not like each other. Maille stumbles on this encounter and assumes that Allison is already making a play on Zack. She humiliates Allison and both ladies embark on a warpath. Zack is designated as Allison\'s chaperone and tour guide because she\\\'s new. As such, they are obliged to spend time together. He enlightens her on the college\\\'s history. Maille grows envious of Zack and Allison\\\'s closeness, and so she starts to flirt with Zack. Allison gets jealous of this since she is also beginning to develop feelings for Zack.
