Wedding vows were made between Ntombenhle and Nqobizitha Gumede, but on one stormy night after a heated argument between the couple, Nqobi decided to go for a drive, and was shot by hitman and was pronounced dead in the hospital. Ntombenhle was then told to marry Nqobizitha's brother as it was the Gumede custom to marry off the wife to the older brother if the soon to be husband passes on.
