Her eyes moved to her grandmother's prized heirloom to his icy blue ones pleadingly.
"I will do anything. Is it money? Name your price and I will write a cheque right now," she told him as she clicked her fingers at her bodyguard who stood behind her holding her bag. She was ready to get on her knees and beg if need be. That's how desperate she was.
"Well, how about a little dare? Unless of course you are scared," he asked casually after thinking for a few seconds.
"A dare?" she asked confused. She expected him to ask for money or something materialistic. She hesitated, worried it might be some sort of dangerous trick. He did not look dangerous but she had learned the hard way not to trust looks.
"What's the dare?" She asked crossing her arms, trying to intimidate him.
"I was going to dare you to give me a kiss but I think your man over there might just pummel to the ground. How about I dare you to go on a date with me instead," he said with a smirk and a shrug.
"Why?”
"Just having some fun. A part of me wants to know if you are uptight all through the day or only mornings and evenings,” he teased.
That did not seem bad at all to her. She could try tolerate him for one date. Hell, she would tolerate her worst enemy to escape her grandmother's wrath.
"One date?" she asked wanting more details.
"Actually, let's make it my lucky number, seven," he said his smile growing. "Go out with me on seven dates and I will give it back."
