Our protagonist, Kai Zhang, drowns in a freak accident and awakens to find himself bound to a mysterious System. His task: play the villain in various universes to restore the "original plot" where the ML and FL end up together. However, something goes terribly wrong - in each universe, Kai inadvertently displaces the FL, becoming the unwitting emotional center of the ML's life.
