A Song of Flames and CursesUpdated at Jan 8, 2026, 06:11
On the planet of the Weevaàs live the Deusàns—beings of NòxSàel, creatures who are like gods. They possess superhuman strength, heightened intelligence, and abilities far beyond human comprehension. Humans have no record of their existence—no perception, no myths, no history. The Deusans, however, have observed, documented, and classified humans for generations, treating them as a lesser species beneath notice. All hell breaks loose when one of the most notorious Deusans escapes through the Sealed Gates. Unlike the others, he did not seek longevity. He sought dominion. To rule the human world—an act that would shatter the greatest Deusan fear: humans discovering they were never alone. His descent went wrong. He entered the body of a pregnant woman. The possession killed her during labor. Severely injured and unstable, the Deusan spirit—Zynà—forced himself into the newborn, despite the child being far too young to serve as a vessel. The strain rendered him dormant, his presence undetectable even to the Higher Ones. His ambition was suspended, his consciousness forced into years of healing. That child grew up to be Rèneè. Her life begins to fracture the moment she meets Kaelis, a Deusan hiding among humans, bound by secrets of his own. Their meeting is not fate, nor coincidence, but a collision—one that stirs what should have remained dormant and threatens to expose a world meant to stay unseen. As their connection deepens, lines begin to blur: human and god, unity and ability, love and destruction. Forbidden never felt this good, and in choosing each other, they may awaken a war neither world is prepared to survive.
