Objection Your Honor, That’s My Husband
Updated at Jul 30, 2026, 03:58
Marrying Norman Jacques was never part of my life's plan. He was the NHL's golden boy until one scandal turned him into public enemy number one. I was a broke law student desperately trying to keep custody of my late sister's little girl. He needed a wife, while I on the other hand needed the money. It was supposed to be a simple business arrangement. Smile for the cameras, play the happy couple, and walk away when the contract expires. It was easy, well…until we started forgetting the terms of our contract. The man the world called arrogant became the same man who stayed up with my niece after her nightmares, waited outside my lectures, and quietly put the pieces of my life back together. And overtime I realized that our entire marriage was built on a lie. Now, the longer we stay married, the more dangerous it becomes to both of us. Because somewhere between the fake vows, pretend kisses and the truth we were never meant to discover, I made one mistake. I fell for my husband. And walking away is no longer an option.
