Chapter one: InceptionLex, a home schooled, secluded, naive teenager with a pinch of clumsiness, who lived in what seemed like a deserted Castle-like bungalow on the topper hills in the outer parts of Greenwich village in Manhattan, NYC. It has always been a contented happy family of she, a jolly teen, with good mannerisms, brown eyes and long black hair, with an A-okay height,her mother and her best friend, well, her only best friend, a furry friend; Sansa the blue eyed cat, who used to be a stray cat, curling up on the doormat, purring for some milk every morning “ Don't feed the stray cat” lex's mother always warned, but lex always fed it anyways, until mother gave up and eventually allowed her take the cat in. Lex had always wondered what the outside world was like, and what the atmosphere felt like, she's had absolutely nothing else to do all her 16 years of existence, than feed the cat, do the dishes and help ma with laundry and watch movies on the little opera television, placed on a table in the living room, She had seen the same roll of movies countless number of times that she could say the lines verbatim. She saw almost everything about the big city on television and it always stirred the hunger of wanting to be there,in the big city, with lots of people, streetlights, honky cars that emitted black smoke, she found it all fascinating and wished to go there. She always fantasized being in the big city like Brooklyn, as a star, with guards walking her down from her Gordon Murray T.33, an exotic expensive car worth more than a fortune unto the Red Carpet, at the BET awards or maybe The Met Gala, alongside other celebrities, with camera flashlights in her face, capturing her glam and beauty, she would swirl up and around the house, she convinced herself that she was more than she is at the moment. Lex's mother always thought her child of a teenager with potentials for greatness, determined against all odds, and was sure that she would excel, but she wouldn't let Lex out into the big city, because she was so insecure and particularly protective of her only child. “ You're too young and the big city is dangerous my dear, I'll take you there and we'll start a new life over there when the time is right” was her usual answer whenver Lex asked her if they could go out to the big city.But nevertheless Lex never gave up, she'd play pretend and role play with her cat, being a renowed movie star and it always gave her the hopes up, and mother always played along too. Ma, Ma come see, I think I'm dying, lex shouted amidst tears, she thought her life was over, even before it started, she was crying profusely and seemed to increase the amplitude of her weeping by several decibels when she stared at the blood stains on the base of her white sleeping robe, she got from her mother on her 15th birthday, “ What's happening to me “ she wondered “ Am I gonna die”? Ma rushed into her room, all alert and ready to dive into action, but alas, she saw that Lex had just became a proper lady, she just had her Menarche, she couldn't help but laugh heartily at her daughter who was totally clueless about what was happening to her. “ Relax honey, it's just your menarche, every lady had it and it's going to keep recurring monthly, it's nothing to be scared about”. Lex still wasn't convinced, so she asked, so I'm not dying??, Her ma laughed out loud again as she said “no hun, you're not dying, it's a normal phenomenon for every lady.” Lex still wasn't convinced enough so she asked, then why am I feeling uneasy with pain in my lower belly, and did the other female movie stars go through the same?“ it's the cramps hun, I'll give you something to relieve you of that, and yes, the female stars went through and are still going through it, so it's a good sign, you're treading on the right path, mother replied with sarcasm,but first off, we've gotta clean you up. She helped lex clean up and all got her all girded up
