Justin stared at her for a moment and his face was dictating remorse and sudden change of mind. Clara noticed he might change his mind if he continued to stare at her so she interrupted abruptly. "Excuse me, Justin, can we talk in private?" Justin's eyes quickly turned in her direction and she could feel rejection already coming. "Shut up! He isn't going to meet you in private, all privacy was dismissed and never rescheduled. Justin here belongs to me and nothing can avert it. Idiot!" she yelled at Clara and turned back to Justin faking cries. "Justin, this is a moment of decision. I can't stand here and watch my newfound mate holding another lady carelessly without my permission. We need to leave here instantly" Clara yelled at him. "Justin, are you leaving me for her after all our loving memories together?" Olivia asked him gently while caressing his chest. Clara could feel the doubts all over Justin's face. "No, it shouldn't be what I'm thinking. This boy is not gonna reject me or is he?" Clara asked herself inwardly. "No, Olivia. I have loved and will always love you, Olivia. We will do life together and no being can separate us." He reassured Olivia while holding her hands tightly. They hugged themselves. "I am not becoming her mate, miss. Find life somewhere else." Justin who seemed to have lost his voice all these while suddenly found it just to utter that to Clara. Clara felt a sharp pain across her chest. She stood frozen for some minutes before she regained her confidence. She felt completely useless and unwanted at that point. The mate she has waited and prepared for so long could utter those dangerous words to her. Her soul almost left her as she felt empty within. She noticed her gown collar was already soaked with tears and walked towards the door to leave the room. She got to the door and turned back only to see Justin's arms around Clara's waist. Her heart shattered more, she had never felt as frustrated and confused as she was feeling. She walked out the door and turned to see if Justin probably was coming after her but nay, the door was rather shut against her. It dawned on her that the alpha mate she desired so much was gone to another lover.
