Hundreds of years ago in Amethyst's first vessel, a massive war plagued the land... reaching all Four Kingdoms. The King of the East during the Times of Old, Argus, and his wolf Lucius, ravaged the land and the people. He was so monstrous that everyone knew that he couldn't be saved. Everyone from every race was on edge... including the dragons... racing against time to find a way to stop him and end his reign of terror, working together in a species-wide alliance to find a way to at least trap him... preferably them... until he could officially be destroyed by whatever means possible... hoping to rid the world of their tyranny forever... even if they have to wait hundreds of years to do it, forming the World Alliance Council and the Elder's Council.
During their preparations on neutral land, they're ambushed by Argus and Lucius... stuck in mid-transformation, their allies, and those who were threatened and manipulated into their service. Finally, they managed to trap Argus in stone, not realizing that by trapping Argus in stone they separated Argus and Lucius... allowing yet forcing Lucius to roam the Earth in search of a way to free Argus, re-merge, and finish conquering the Four Kingdoms; threatening those in packs all over the world to have a spy in as many packs as possible.
It's through one of these spies Lucius discovered Amethyst was about to be born in another vessel, and launched a coordinated massive attack on the Midnight Skye Pack... promising rogues of all sorts land, power, and women to get them to do his bidding, forcing Karrah and Maxius to flee to Mt. Seeker Temple with Little Alpha Sable... the future of Midnight Skye Pack. There, they prepped for war... Sable and Amethyst have plans different from those of Sable's foster parents. Eventually, they find a way to keep Argus and Lucius from siphoning Sable's life out of her... leading to them finally ending the centuries-old war and with it, Argus and Lucius' tyranny.
Phoenix Anastasia Smithington was born into a hard life directly on the border of pack lands between Blood Moon and Dark Raven. She was the result of a peace treaty pact. The pact was for either the Alpha or the Beta from the Blood Moon Pack to mate with the widowed Beta Female of the Dark Raven Pack to produce a male heir for the widow to raise. She lost both her mate and their pup in a rogue attack during werewolf pack school hours, so doing this would help in securing the future of both packs. The Alpha of Blood Moon had found his mate and they were expecting their first pup, so his Beta volunteered. He had also lost his mate in the rogue attack... she was one of the teachers at the werewolf school on the border of the pack lands between Blood Moon and Dark Raven. The Alphas negotiated a cease-fire and arranged a Peace Ceremony between the two packs, followed by a mating ceremony between their Betas. Both Betas had Alpha blood, so it meant that the resulting pup would be strong. They have three pups... a boy and a set of twins... a boy and a girl with the girl being the oldest of the twins. Their oldest taking her late mate's position of Beta as agreed. He took their son from the twins to raise as his own and exiled his peace treaty mate to a place directly on the border, barely ever seeing her, yet never rejecting her. However, things become complicated between them when his second chance mate shows up. How does this change the Beta Female? What happens to Phoenix after she's been abandoned? Who did the Moon Goddess choose for her mate and which pack holds her mate?
All seems well for Athennia. She's progressing well in all her studies and has even impressed her centaur teacher, Chiron, and her Amazon teacher, Queen Cyanne. One day on her way home from Chiron's Academy to visit her family, she gets ambushed and barely survives. However, there's a huge cost. She's lost all her memories. How long will it last? Where will she wake up? What will happen to her? Will her family and friends ever truly see her again?
Note: This book was originally started as a part of the first Starry Writing Camp. Rough things in life happened, so I wasn't able to complete it the way that was suggested. Now, I'm updating it using the lessons in Starry Writing Camp and formatting it as I would any other book. Thank-you.
