"Never take off this necklace." With her mother's dying warning echoing in her mind, Andrea steps into Blackwood Academy. On the surface, it's an elite, prestigious institution; behind closed doors, it's a breeding ground for ancient curses and bloodthirsty supernatural creatures. Caught in the obsessive grip of Stefan, a vampire, and pushed to the brink by the mad infatuation of Killian, a werewolf, she thinks this twisted love triangle is her biggest problem. Until she realizes she is no ordinary transfer student. She is a forbidden hybrid of a witch and a vampire. As the seal on the necklace slowly weakens, the terrifying power slumbering within her begins to awaken. And those lurking in the shadows the ones who fear the necklace begin to stir. She sees her own ending: buried alive. Death, darkness, an inescapable fate... But what Andrea doesn't know is that when she wakes up drenched in sweat from her bed, the real game has only just begun. And this is merely Day One of her nightmare.
