The Grand Duke's never have taken interest to any lady in the empire, which become the concern of the emperor. As the emperor couldn't bear leave his cousin to be single for the rest of his life,
The emperor decided to held a Grand ball weeks before the emperor's wedding, with the purpose of finding his cousin wife. The emperor invited all noble families in the empire telling them to bring all female member in their families. But to the emperor dismay Alaric didn't show any interest to any ladies it was as if all ladies at the halls are flies that doesn't have any value. It was not until the Earl son Allen Welsh and his finance Ella Bail showed up and entered the ballroom, that there's a change in Alaric expression.
But thinking that Ella Bail is already engaged and would get married after two months, the emperor was in panic and wants to remind Alaric, but when he looks in Alaric's direction, what he saw is only the young lady of some noble families, not the Grand Duke's Alaric.
The emperor wanted to go find Alaric but couldn't leave the hall as he had to entertain the aristocrats that keep talking congratulating him for his marriage.

Alaric was feeling bored the whole time he just keep standing at some corner in the hall, not minding the stares and whispers around him. When he's near running out of patients and wanted to leave room, At the corner of his eyes he saw A beautiful lady who keeps looking inside the ballroom at the entrance, looking like a lost puppy. Alaric stares at the lady with interest and follow the lady's every move, and when he notice that the lady was leaving, his move body without him even knowing.
He only comes back to his senses when the lady stops walking at the secluded part of the garden. Alaric hid himself with some brushes staring at the lady's face as if memorizing all part of her face in his soul.
