The world is populated by a multitude of supernatural races. These races rely heavily on human labor. These humans are among the few that know supernaturals actually exist. The labor they provide is not voluntary. There is a trade in human servants throughout the supernatural world. One of the most notorious sellers of vampire servants is Bethesda Kingston. She adopts abandoned and abused human children and raises them to integrate into the vampire world, knowing their place. When she raises Amelia and sells the young woman to her own maker, things begin to change drastically. One deadly altercation leads to a family feud. And a pregnancy leads to a change in the world of vampires.

This story takes place on an alternate Earth, where there is a race of people with the ability to change or Shift into animals. They aren't much different that humans with the desires of their hearts and dreams for families and friends. However, there is a human organization, which happen to be among the few humans that know about this race, that targets the Shifters. The organization is called the Hunters and was stated by the Catholic Church at the dawn off Christendom, during the Witch trials. This book takes place on the African Continent. The family of Shifters is a nomadic Tribe with special abilities, which they use in place of human medicine to heal the sick and injured, regardless of race. The main characters are Abigail and Elijah. They are sister and brother and work together on everything from raising their children to hunting for food to easing the suffering of humans and Shifters alike. That is until they become targets for the Hunters.

This story is a brief bio of a young man that lives life on his own term. He see the world differently than most people. And he has endless love for his fellow human beings. In a perfect world, he'd be the recipient of endless love from every person he encountered, but the world is not perfect.
