At the age of seventeen, Yu Zhi's grandmother passed away. Before her death, she entrusted Yu Zhi to the care of a close friend from her youth. Old Lady Fu had three sons and five grandsons. The family had finally gotten a little girl, fair-skinned and lovely, like a porcelain doll. Everyone vied for her attention, offering their kindness and affection. At a family meeting, fearing her time was short, the old lady decided to find Yu Zhi a place in the family and asked her: "Zhi Zhi, from now on we’ll be a family. Do you want to stay with Second Uncle or Third Uncle?" Yu Zhi glanced around the room, her eyes finally resting on a man standing at the door, dressed in a black suit, his gaze cold and aloof. "Grandmother, I want him." Fu Shishen, the eldest grandson of the Fu family, was calm and composed by nature, and his methods were fast, precise, and ruthless, never showing any mercy. He had been the heir appointed by Old Master Fu, but he preferred to carve his own path. After graduating, he made waves in the financial world, unmatched by anyone. When the old lady handed him a child, he found it troublesome but still took great care of her, teaching her how to do her homework, supporting her when needed, and showing both tenderness and patience. Before long, due to business demands, he had to go abroad for a five-year assignment. He sent Yu Zhi back to the family estate. Yu Zhi had a secret no one knew. It was like the humid wind hidden in the summer, like the snowflakes that couldn’t be caught in winter. She never overstepped, carefully keeping that person locked in her heart. Later, when that person returned to the country, Yu Zhi could only dare to watch him from afar. Until one quiet, empty moment, Fu Shishen gently wrapped her cold feet in his arms.
