Thr war has ended, human families were displaced, torn apart and destroyed. What were once neighbourhoods with homes, schools and hospitals sat in desolate ruin with piles of rubble and skeletons of infrastructure disguising the normality that they once represented. Sam didn't ask questions, she kept her head down and worked hard, trying to avoid any eyes being drawn to her. With the world a dark shadow of what it once was Sam had learned to adapt, humans were no longer at the top of the food chain and she would do what she had to do to survive. When a decorated warrior from the others is drawn to her she expects nothing but cruelty and evil.
