Shiro Shade Mamoru's life has been a peaceful and normal one. He enjoyed being alone, reading different books, and listening to different songs. Yet, he enjoys nothing more than reading different myths. His normal life then starts to change when monsters attack their school one day, monsters that he only reads and sees in his books. What's stranger is that his sister, his crush, and his only two friends seem to be familiar and had the ability to confront the particular monsters. What's going on? Is he dreaming or was it true?

Caroline Grimm never understood her lack of fear. She was never scared of anything. She would laugh at horror booths uncontrollably, look down the tenth floor of a hotel with her feet dangling on the edge or even hold giant tarantulas out of curiosity. She was so fearless that she felt out of place with the people around her.
