As the night deepened, Mary was driving back from her friend's house, located in the middle of nowhere. The road was dimly lit, and the sky was cloudy, creating an eerie atmosphere. Mary wasn't particularly fond of the dark. Still, she was trying her best to focus on the road while keeping her mind engaged in her favorite pop songs.Suddenly, deep in the woods, she noticed a figure standing by the roadside. It wasn't very clear at that moment. Still, as she came closer, the shape became more refined in the headlights. It was a woman wearing a white dress, and her long black hair was covering her face. Mary had a little shiver ran down her spine. As she approached her, the woman lifted her head, revealing her face.Mary had never seen anything more terrifying in her life. The woman's face was covered in bruises and cuts, and her eyes had a vacant expression, giving off a feeling of despair. Mary quickly rolled up her windows and locked the doors. It was then that she heard the knocking sound from the back window of her car. As she turned around, she saw the same woman, now banging her head against the glass in rage and despair. Mary tried to scream, but nothing came out of her mouth as the woman's face contorted with madness, and her eyes glowed bright red.Suddenly the car's radio turned on, and the same voice repeated the same sentence over and over again, "you shouldn't have come here." Mary was petrified with fear and felt like she was trapped in a nightmare. The woman then disappeared into the woods, and Mary drove as fast as she could, tears in her eyes, and her heart beating out of her chest. When she reached home, she looked into the rear-view mirror, only to find the same woman's face staring back at her, through the reflection. Mary screamed again, and it took a while for her to realize it was her own reflection because she had the same exact bruises and cuts on her face. From that day, Mary was never the same. She refused ever to take that road again, and she always slept with her lights on, terrified of what might come in the dark.
