UNMASKED FACING THE DEMONS. TAKING OFF THE MASK AND TAKING CHARGE OF THE PROCESS.
Updated at Jul 12, 2026, 04:10
Chapter 1: Facing The Demons.Learning new tricks while you drift I had to start all over. My feelings, my reactions, the very eessence of who I was - it all had to be put aside.it was forced to put in a MASK of survival that was not my own.Becoming Someone I Am Not To stay alive.both mentally and physically, I had to be tough and strong ways that didn't feel natural. I had to practice things I never wanted to learn:I had to learn to speak mean sometimes- not from a place of cruelty , but as a defence mechanism to protect my boundaries . I had to practice how to take in harsh words without reacting allowing them to hit my mask while protecting the "real me"  hidden inside. The worst part was having to smile and pretend to be quiet when my soul wanted to scream.just to avoid something.Studying the Mind of the Enemy I realized I needed new tools to survive this secret war. I couldn't just keep reacting : I had to start  researching . I needed to understand how the human mind works.how to control my anger and how to outmaneuver the manipulation.I became a student of his behaviors. Every day I saw your tricks and every day I studied them. I had to look deeper. I learned to be an observant multitasking reasecher , existing far outside my comfort zone just to keep the peace. The Silent Separation This was the turning point:  I didn't  being hurt, but I stopped being angry with you.i stopped asking questions. I stopped complaining,I stopped begging you,and I stopped being emotional when I saw you trying to defeat me.Instead I started telling you how things were becoming .I told you how things would be . I started watching you drift into your own traps . The mask allowed me to protect myself until the day I could finally take it off and let you drown into your own sorrows. The Power of Zero ReactionThe moment I stopped being emotional was the moment the power dynamic shifted forever.A bully feeds on reactions. They need your tears, your anger, your explanation and your desperation to feel powerful .it is their oxygen . When I decided to put on the mask,I didn't just protect myself - I cut of their supply .I chose to starve the demon. The Shift From Why to HowI used to waste much breath asking "Why" Why are you doing this to me ?Why can't you just see my worth,Why do you treat me like a failure ?But as I stepped into my role as an observer, the question stopped. I didn't care about why anymore cause I finally understood the what.i knew exactly what you were, what tricks you were playing ,and what you were trying to achieve . instead of asking why you were doing it,I started planning how I was going to outmaneuver it.The Cold Truth of Silence When you stop complaining and stop begging .it terrifies the manipulator. They expect you to fight back with noise, but instead, you fight back with,a cold, observant silence. You see right through the games , They try to provoke you,but the words just hit the mask and slide offInside, you are entirely detached, you no longer a participant in the chaos; you are just watching a bad actor finish a terrible performance. You are letting them drift completely into their own traps, knowing that their time is running out.Owning the Narrative I stopped letting you tell me who I was. When you called me names or tried to humiliate me. I didn't argue. I just looked at you.fully aware that the person who has to spit on someone else's face to feel big is the smallest person in the room.I started dictating how things would be, not by yelling but by quietly holding the line within myself. The war wasn't won on the outside yet,but inside my mind, the victory was already mine.Feeding the Inner Warrior in Silence     When you are forced to wear mask on the outside , your inner world must become impenetrable fortress, you cannot afford to let the poison across the threshold of your true mind. If the outside world requires strategic silence, the inside world requires relentless, loud growth. Building a Sanctuary in the MindI started to treat my mind like a secret vault. Every harsh word, every insult, and every attempt to break my spirit was stopped at the door. I stopped letting the toxic noise occupy space in my head. Instead, I filled that vault with things that belonged to me. The Quiet InvestmentsBeing in charge of the process means you stop waiting for conditions to be perfect before you start building. You start building right where you are with what you have . Every single day becomes a small, unseen victories . It's the pride of setting aside resources for your children's future, planning the next practical move, and making sacrifices in secret . The perpetrator thinks they see everything , but they completely miss the architecture of the new life being designed right under their nose. Boy, if Only You Knew What You Created For a long time, I sat with the painful thought that I wasn't good enough. I suffered throug

The Daily Bread Of Stones. Finding the Way Home When Love Becomes a Cage
Updated at Jul 11, 2026, 20:09
CHAPTER 1: The One-Day TrapSometimes we stay not because we are scared of leaving, but because we are scared to open up. We stay because we believe we can change them. But here is the hard truth: A person changes by himself, for himself. We stay because the thought of starting a new chapter feels so far away and exhausting. We think we "have to" stay, but we don't. When we stay for the wrong reasons, we are simply giving up on ourselves.    CHAPTER 2: The Provider MythWe stay because of financial stability, yet in the process, we lose our mental stability. We stay because we always see the good in others—which is a gift—but we sit on that "good" until we make it our daily bread, even when it is filled with stones. We stay because culture says so. We stay because we are scared of losing people who aren't even scared of losing us. We say "he provides," even when we see we are no longer wanted or needed in the heart of the home.CHAPTER 3: The Public Saint vs. The Private MonsterI remember sharing my personal struggles and past traumas—my relationship with my father, my weaknesses, and my fears. He was so "supportive" at first. Then one day, the mask slipped. He became physical and would apologize, then do the same thing again. He isolated me and made me feel like everything was my fault. In front of people, he would be this nice, loving person making jokes and laughing. When I wouldn’t laugh, I became the "bad guy"—the boring person who didn't want him to be happy.CHAPTER 4: The Sound of Nothing (The Numbing)Something becomes "normal" when you live with it every day. You know exactly when and how the shift will happen. It hurts, and then one day, the feeling just stops. You get disgusted, then you hate yourself, but you stay anyway. You close your eyes and pray and try to convince yourself it’s going to be over. You feel nothing at all—just like you feel nothing for the person doing it. And the funny part? He doesn't seem to care or mind.CHAPTER 5: The Weight of the "Good"In a toxic relationship, "seeing the good" is how you go blind to the bad. We take that tiny crumb of "good"—a single day where he was nice—and we try to live off it for months of starvation. The Lesson: If you have to dig through a mountain of "monster" behavior just to find one grain of "good," you aren't being merciful. You are being malnourished. You cannot survive on a memory.CHAPTER 6: The Cultural CageWe are terrified of the labels: Divorced. Single mother. Failure. We are scared of what others will say about us if we walk away from the man who "provides."But while the world is busy judging your "success" as a partner, no one is there to see you "close your eyes and pray" just to make it through the night. It is better to be a "boring person" or the "bad guy" in their story than to be a ghost in your own.CHAPTER 7: The Fool’s ErrandI remember the day I realized I was making a fool out of myself just to make him feel what I was feeling. I cried, I begged for attention, and I shared my deepest fears, hoping he would finally understand.I thought if I explained my pain perfectly enough, he would finally have a heart. But you cannot explain "hurt" to the person who is intentionally hurting you. He wasn't "forgetting" to be kind; he was choosing not to be.CHAPTER 8: The Price of "Support"One day, the "support" I thought was love revealed its true face. He spat on my face. In that moment, everything inside me felt dirty. When I went to find air, he came to claim his "possessions." He wanted his things back—including the clothes I was wearing. He used my vulnerability, my relationship with my father, and my past traumas as evidence that I was unlovable. He told me "no one will ever love you like I do." But if the price of support is your dignity, it is not a gift—it is a leash.THE FIRST STEPS OF FREENESS   There comes a day when you feel a little bit of "freeness"  that is hard to explain. You stop stressing about him- Where he is or what he is doing - and start stressing about you and you family truly need. The jealousy fades, and your mind is finally no longer "there" with him. You become more observant and selective. You can feel yourself growing. You realize that by taking just two or three more steps forward, you will be okay. This is the start of focusing, healing and coming truly independent.     The drug of destruction We talk about addiction to substance, but we rarely talk about the addiction to a person who destroy us. Being with a bully is like a drug, even when you know it is destroying your soul, even if it makes you feel physically sick, you find yourself going back for one more hit of their "attention," even if that attention is violent or cruel.           THE SOUL-SICK CYCLE.     You reach a point where you know , deep in your spirit , that this is not good for you. You feel it in your gut. You feel your self -love, yourself confidence being stripped away until you don't even  recognize
