This novel is about a US marine who was repatriated for not obeying a direct order by not opening fire on a group of terrorists using women and children as human shields. Back in the US, he joined a security agency that sent him to Africa where his adventure began, he experienced voodoo firsthand when a group of pirates captured him, he was later rescued by a US agency known as the last line of defense but rather than letting him go, he was used for an experiment known as PROJECT M, an experiment meant to create super soldiers but unknown to them he had a dormant alien gene in him. the unlocking of the alien gene in him automatically made him the key to the survival of an alien race that may lead to the doom of humanity.
