Alpha University used to be an elite college exclusively for werewolves. Now that humans know about supernatural creatures and want to annihilate them, it's a school for everything that goes bump in the night. Renée is a quirky Louisiana-born French werewolf and a Seule (French for Lone, Seul for men). Seules are rare wolves who are not affected by an alpha's commands. The males are killed immediately, while the females are allowed to live. Being a Seule, they have a calming effect on other werewolves, especially on men, who tend to be more aggressive. This makes them very coveted beings, and it's almost a badge of honor to have one in your pack. All males at the school are trying to win her over because of this. Sir James Knight, who is going to be the Alpha of all Alphas, is claiming the tiny, adorable she-wolf for himself.
