ABOUTquote
My name is Hanif Burinyuy and I’m a storyteller from Cameroon raised between dusty village roads, crowded taxis, and the rich fire side tales told by grandmothers who never needed to read a book to carry the world in their words. I write stories that reflect us our culture, our pain, our humor, and our everyday drama. Stories that carry the weight of family secrets, silent strength, forbidden love, and ancestral whispers. I’m not some big, famous author with a fancy setup. I write most of my chapters using a phone. Sometimes in the back of a noisy room, other times under the dim light in the early hours of the morning because the stories won’t let me sleep. I believe in raw, relatable storytelling where the characters feel like people you know, where the settings smell like home, and where you don’t have to be rich or perfect to be powerful. Every comment, every reader, every moment you spend reading means the world to me. It reminds me that our stories are valid, our voices are loud enough, and we don’t need permission to be seen. Thank you for being here. You’re not just a follower, you’re family. Let’s keep telling our stories, from the heart of Africa to the rest of the world. Hanif B. Cameroonian Writer. Dreamer. Hustler with a pen.
