Samantha, member of the Aurora Pack, just went through a messy break up with her boyfriend and is looking to escape pack life to get away from him. Her parents, both workers at the pack hospital have always wanted her to follow their footsteps but she never seriously considered it until it became the only way for her to escape him. She decides to head off to Boreal School, the only school werewolves all over the world will go to to learn pack professions (alpha, beta, pack nurse, doctor, etc.) for their summer semester and leaves right after graduating high school. The story follows her through self-discovery of her identity outside of her previous relationship and outside of her pack as well as her strength and resiliency while also discovering love for the first time. When she’s finally able to admit to herself and her love interest, she finds out pack business that ends up altering the course of their love story and threatens to break them apart.
