Lyra was raised by her father, Alpha Damien of silvermoon pack after her mother who was a human died, trying to save the Kingdom. But due to the fact that her mother was human, her sacrifice wasn't acknowledged and they all said that she died because she was weak. The fact that Lyra's mother is hated for being human even in death hurts Alpha Damien, but there's nothing he could do. For that reason, he decided to take care of his daughter as much as he could and make sure that she has a beautiful life ... .but it seemed quite hard since Lyra was human and couldn't fit into the pack. Alpha Damein thought he could protect Lyra from them forever, but it  turned out  he couldn't. The other pack members decided that they no longer wanted Lyra amongst them as she was nothing but a burden to them. They said she had nothing to offer as no other pack were willing to ask for her hands in marriage. Alpha Damien tried to refuse at first, but indirectly made it known to him that if he refused to take Lyra away from them, his place as an Alpha was being threatened and Lyra's life wasn't safe either.
