Something different for our readers! This is a multiple narrative poetry story. Each poem is a story but also coincides with a short story explaining the events and trials of human life. The thoughts and emotions of the human mind can be a wondrously dangerous thing. Don't you think?
Jade's summer just got a whole lot harder. A childhood friend is back and he intends to win her over. She was known for her no-tolerance attitude for egotistical men and their charming demeanor. So it was no shock to anyone when she showed no interest in him. All of her friends quickly swooned to his charming character one by one. Why was she not affected by his charm? Jade could not deny her attraction to him but her pride was in the way of her need of him. His copper eyes penetrate her core sending vibrations through her every time he looked at her. She didn't need a distraction in her life right when things were looking good. Soon jade's pride gets put to the test when she finds out her parents arranged her marriage after she was born. Her childhood friend is now her soon to be husband and he was staying to get to know her before their wedding. Jade's parents were old fashioned and strict in their traditions. Arranged marriages were rare but necessary to keep power in the right families. As much as jade wanted to obey her parents, she could not accept the marriage. She was being f****d to marry a man she knew nothing about anymore and did not love. Can she let her guard down and fall for him or will she break the marriage contract causing her family dishonor and shame?
