The last great stellar war destroyed all the stars, and the verse is a gaping abyss devouring all remaining life swirling to a finale silent end. The Alcatraz was a prison world ship designed to house the worst of Earth’s criminals before the war, but now is home to the remnants of Earth’s criminal descendants. Governed by a blood line of tyrannical captain-king’s the ship has become a technofeudal society where the most valuable resource is oxygen. After an alien attack nearly destroys the Alcatraz, the crew is forced to take their savior’s offer. A strange sentience energy being known as Magnus Void offers to join forces, and promises to solve all the Alcatraz resource shortages. The plan is to raid an outpost that holds prewar secrets created by the Ancient, and may be the only hope to bring the light back to fulfill an ancient Abyssal Prophecy. No one trusts Magnus, but the only alternative is to die a slow and miserable death.
