Pearl, a young lady of 24 is diagnosed with HIV, this news seems to shatter her world as she is soon to be married to Ken, the 28 year old son of Mr Martino, one of the most influential businessmen in New York city at the time. But however, the Martino family maintains the policy that all the daughter in laws of the family must be physically, mentally, and otherwise sound, if not, she stands no chance of being part of the Martino family.
