Assignment
Updated at Mar 10, 2022, 20:32
When things get too overwhelming for you, you put me aside like a mirror subject–placed at the very bottom of your to-do list, thinking I was less significant than the other ones. You believe the notion you could complete me once you finish the other ones above, you held onto your idea that it's better to put me aside first–which is probably why I still find myself stuck at the corner of your study table like a pending activity you cannot focus on for now. If isn't easy. You still have dozens on your plate, I know, and I'm sandwiched in between your heavy tasks, so you cannot take care of me yet. Your weary expression when you slammed my pages and stored me in your shelves still lingered like a midnight thought. You didn't leave you just put me aside–presuming and hoping that you can still answer my long-lived darkest what ifs before the due date of our love notifies. My love it's true I have no plans to be your missing activity but believe me. I could mark myself as done. I might be an assignment you always choose to put aside but you cannot procastinate the likes of me.

FATE MEET COINCIDENCE ?????????????????❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️???????????????????????????????
Updated at Mar 11, 2022, 08:43
The universehas been fighting all odds to balance the universal order of celestial beings, galaxies and planets–including the Earth and it's living elements. To fullfill it's goal, the universe created and classified several gods and goddesses and granted them duties related to their supreme power. Among them was Fate, the goddesses of fortune, fate, and destiny. She was the one who showers bountiful blessings (or even misfortunes) to humans and determines human destinies by cutting a certain length of a thread as a symbol of their lifespan. But what made her more famous in the books was that she was the goddess who attached a red thread of the pinky finger of every human to connect them with their soulmates. For many centuries, she had been praised for her impressive achievements... not until she ran into a Coincidence, a demigodwho has long forgotten for having no special power and being a troublemaker at heart. Their first meeting happened on that busy day in the city of Galaxias. -Excuse me! Coming through!" yelled Fate as she dashed along the hallway while hugging 9 heavy books around her arms. The book were too large for a petite goddess like her; she couldn't properly see the aisle she was heading to. Thankfully, the other gods and goddesses were polite enough to move away and let her walk through. "Fate, those books seem heavy. Do ya' need some help?" offered Nature who happened to see her, struggling from the weight of the books. She smiled. "No, no, I can carry this! Thank you!" "You sure?" "Yup!" "Oh, okay. Be careful then." She continued walking, completely passing himso she yelled , "I will, Nature!" It would've been easier for her to accept his help, given the fact that her room was still in the other building. Nevertheless, she felt oddly energetic and in good mood to carry heavy books alone. "This must be a fortunate date for me," she thought, making her smile wider. But then, she was about to turn the left path , she bumped into someone, losing her balance. "OW!" her books fell onto the ground as her butt throbbed from the impact. She hissed. This isn't a fortunate day for her, after all. She got up, shrugging the dirt off her dress, and gaze at the god infront of her. "Who the hell bumped into me—" Her furrowed eyebrows slightly weekend when their eyes met. "Coincidence," she murmured. What is an unemployed demigod doing here? Instead of looking apologetic, Coincidence let out a playful smirk and shamelessly took her hand and kissed it's back. "What do you mean 'bumped into me? Oh please... this is meant to be." "What?" she withdrew her hand. Is he mocking my role as a goddess of Fate? She thought. Coincidence frowned. "Isn't that how fate works? We don't meet by chance. We met for a reason." "You're bubbling nonsense, Coincidence." She picked up the books one by one and hugged them. "So if you'll excuse me, I have some errands to do." Ever since that day, she'd find herself crossing pathways with Coincidence—who seemed to be the one who's behind their repeated meetings. She didn't know his true agenda on messing with her; nevertheless, she left those meetings slip away and focused on her duty instead. But it seems like Coincidence wanted to annoy her more. So there, she steeped up his game and attempted to disrupt the Book of Soulmates that was personally authored by Fate. "COINCIDENCE!" Fate's voice rumbled against the corners of the hall, waking up the poor demigod by his slumber. He rubbed his eyes. "What seems to be the problem—" "Stop it, will you?" "Stop... what?" "You think I'm not aware of your actions, huh?" You've been causing little accidents to humans which isn't predetermined to my book!" "Oh." He chuckled. "It was just for fun." "Fun?" That triggered her. "I didn't espend half a century writing the books just to allow demigod to disrupt it for fun!" "Hey, hey, I... I didn't mean that way." Now he feels like apologizing which shouldn't be. This was what he wanted, right? To annoy her even more. But why are his insides panicking from the thought of making her mad? Fate let out an exasperated sighed. "You created a little conflict in the humans' world and it made a guy and a girl in the coffee shop meet by chance and build a relationship between them. Sooner or later they'll fall in love! But... But in my book their not supposed to meet and get closer, Coincidence. Can't you realize how serious this could get?" He went silent. Of course, those two will get hurt in the end, he thought. How come h hadn't realized this sooner? "This..." She face-palmed. "This is too much... Are you really that thirsty for attention to the point you're planning to disrupt what's already predetermined on my book?" "Hey, no, chill," He said softly and reached her arms to console her. Get she steeped back. He sighed . "I'm sorry, okay? Maybe I went too overboard this time...

The Tooth Fairy The darkness loomed the sky, embracing the atmosphere with chilly air. As I flapped my wings, I glided towards a flowery balcony and wandered inside the room until I landed upon a mattress. A boy was already in his peaceful slumber so I did what I need to. I crouched and took something under the pillow—a tooth which I had to collect every night. Yep, kinda gross but that’s our job as tooth fairies. “Gotcha.” I rubbed the tooth with my arm and it shone against the lamp shade. I smiled. What a jackpot— “A tooth fairy!” “Ah!” In surprise, I leaped and hid behind the curtains and shivered. Oh, my fae! The boy woke up! “Hey, I won’t hurt you...” he said softly. “Here, have this candy.” I peeked at him. He greeted me with a genuine smile. Tempted to taste the sweet candy, I slowly accepted the candy and licked it. “It’s yummy, right?” He boasted, flashing his teeth with a gap in the middle. I giggled like ringing bells. He startled and stared at me curiously. “Hey, you took my tooth under my pillow. What are you gonna do with it?” I paused. “You... You shouldn’t have seen me.” “But why?” He frowned. “Promise, I won’t tell anyone that fairies exist, I swear!” “Sorry.” I need to make him sleep again and forget this happened. I was about to lift my hand and cast a magic on him when the door opened. I immediately returned behind the curtains. Bummer! His mother entered. “Why are you still awake, Owl?” “A-Ah, nothing!” He stood stiffly and trailed off. “There was just a... very beautiful bird that entered my room. It took my tooth with her, Mom.” His eyes passed by my direction and he smiled in secret. My heart jumped with an emotion I couldn’t name. Did he just cover me up? “A bird took your tooth? Well, that’s strange. Have you seen where it flew? Let me check.” She was about to walk to the window where I was hiding when he stopped her. “N-No need, Mom! It’s probably gone.” She chuckled. “Fine, fine. Go to sleep. You have school tomorrow, remember?” “Yes. Goodnight, Mom.” Once the door closed, he dashed towards the curtains. “Phew, that was close.” He peeked at me, meeting our eyes. “Are you okay?” My face heated up. I turned my wings to him in embarrassment. “Y-Yes... and I have to go before anyone enters again.” I flew up the window. “Bye!” “Wait! What’s your name?” I contemplated. Should I tell him? After much thought, I looked him over my shoulder and answered. “Joyy. Joyy’s my name.” I didn’t wait his reaction. I ascended towards the night sky dwindled by the sparkling moon, stars, and city lights and cupped my burning cheeks. Oh, my fae. This is the first time I talked with a human and... it feels wonderful. Now I remember it, I didn’t cast the erasing magic on him and I didn’t regret it. He seems to be a pretty nice boy after all. --- After two fairy days, I strangely came back to Owl’s house. Did he lost another tooth? I wondered. Oh well, at least I can get to see him again while he’s asleep! Once I landed to his bed, I pulled the tooth under his pillow then suddenly someone turned on the lamp shade. “Joyy... Is that you?” “Owl, y-you’re awake!” “It’s you!” He hugged me tightly, enough not to crush my tiny body. He smiled, flashing his teeth with three gaps this time. “What happened to your teeth?” My mouth just automatically moved on its own. He squatted. “I’ve been waiting for you to come, Joyy.” “Huh?” “I really want to see you again but I don’t know how. So I keep eating candies until one of them fall off. But you still didn’t appear, so I didn’t give up! Look, I lost five!” He opened his mouth and pointed the two more gaps inside. I gasped. He lost five teeth in approximately three months? Oh, Fae. I think I just committed a mistake. “What took you so long, Joyy?” His voice sounded sulking. “I’m sorry. It’s just that...” The human years is way different than ours. In the fairy realm, our first meeting just happened the other night but in his world, approximately three months have already passed. How can I explain that to a twelve-year-old boy? I sighed and flew in front of his face. “You should take care of your teeth from now on, Owl.” “But if I do... how can I see you again?” His question had me startled. Then I frowned as I finally made my decision. Right. My existence won’t do any good to him. Fairies must stay as a secret. “Owl.” “Hmm?” “It’s nice meeting you.” He smiled. “It’s enchanting to meet you too, Joyy.” “Enchanting?” He nodded, fixating his gaze to me. “You look enchanting. I could stare at you forever.” My heart thumped fast. I clutched my chest to stop it, but it was no use. With my heart pounding hard, I smiled. You’re gonna grow into a fine man, I’m sure of that, Owl. “Good night.” I kissed the tip of his nose and the magic dust eventually glimmered around us. He fell on his bed, sleeping soundly—an indication that the magic had already took its effect. I flew towards

Moon in the Dark

Moon In The Dark Play music as you read. “I've already read so many myths about the love between the moon and the sun,” uttered Mom while she was gazing up at the crescent-shaped celestial body in the night sky. “But I still don't get why people are so hyped about it.” I looked at her, confused. “Isn't it romantic that the moon and the sun are chasing each other every day, Mom?” “And who said they're chasing each other?” She smiled, shifting her eyes to me. “It's only the moon who's chasing.” “Huh?” Mom chuckled. She planted a soft kiss on my head and gently pushed the ground with her feet to sway the swing. “Do you know what the sun did to make the moon fall for him?” “No...” “The moon got her light from the sun,” she said, “and because of that, she cherished him like he was the one who gave meaning to her life.” “Exactly!” I lifted my head, trying to gaze at her face. “The sun gave her light. It means he cares for her! So why are you saying it’s one-sided?” “Ah, darling...” She stroked the strands of my hair and put them behind my ear. “But not all people who showed you motives will commit themselves to you.” That made me silent. “The sun is just like them. Just because he gave her light, doesn’t mean he felt the same way.” I paused. “Then... he didn't do it because he loves her?” “Hm-mm,” she replied. “The sun only gave her light because he has plenty of light to offer. Notice how the sun's brightness never lessens during the day.” My lips formed into a frown. I don't know what to feel. All this time, the sun wasn't a charming celestial being I thought he’d be. “I better tell about this to my friends!” I exclaimed. “The Sun is a jerk for putting Moon’s hopes up and leaving her alone just like that!” “The truth is,” said Mom, “the moon wasn’t really alone. There is someone who’s always been there to make her brighter.” “Really? Wasn’t he the sun?” “No.” She gazed at me with a smile. “He was the darkness.” “The darkness?” She nodded. “From the very start, the darkness has always been there beside her. And without the moon noticing, she has always been there beside him too—granting him light which he lacked.” Unconsciously, I looked up and watched the moon as well as the darkness of the sky. “Together, the moon and the darkness created a wonderful sky which we are beholding every single night.” My lips parted in awe. I never thought of the night sky that way. All this time, the darkness partook in the magnificence of the moon too. How come I just realized this now? “Were the stars their children?” I asked. “Perhaps.” Mom chuckled and lifted her hand as though reaching for the moon. “Look, the moon is crescent-shaped right now. That means the darkness is hugging her.” I stared at it and gasped. “Wow. You're right, Mom!” Before, I used to look at the other phases of the moon as incomplete. But now, maybe the moon has always been whole—with the darkness embracing her. I smiled. Probably, from now on, it will not just the moon I’ll fall in love with. Because half of my heart will love the darkness too. I glanced at mother. “But why are you saying this, Mom?” “Because soulmates are all born similar with the moon and the darkness. We are born complete but not balanced. Some are born too nice, some too stubborn. Others are too loud, while others are too quiet. The world has always been surrounded with contradicted inklings... So, sweetheart, find someone that can balance with your soul. Choose a love the same as how the moon and the darkness can balance each other to create a magnificent night sky.” Hi, thanks for reading! The fact that you reached the end, my heart is already bursting with so much joy. Whatever your reason for visiting my haven, know that you have become a part of my journey now. Take care!
