Just when she thinks she has run out of options, a wealthy family approaches her with an unusual proposal:Their son, Daniel, needs to get married for reasons connected to his family's business and inheritance. They offer Amara enough money to pay for her mother's treatment if she agrees to marry him. There is one condition:The marriage must last for one year.Amara agrees—not because she loves Daniel, but because she can't bear the thought of losing her mother.Daniel isn't happy about the arrangement either. At first, they barely tolerate each other. They have different personalities, different expectations, and absolutely no intention of falling in love. But living under the same roof slowly changes things.Daniel begins to see the girl behind the arrangement: her determination, her kindness, her fear of losing her mother. And Amara begins to discover that Daniel isn't the cold, arrogant man she thought she was marrying. Then, just when their feelings begin to become real, Amara discovers something that could destroy everything:Daniel knew about her mother's illness before the marriage proposal was ever made. And suddenly she doesn't know whether Daniel actually loves her...or whether their entire relationship was another transaction.
